  • Golfers Elbow

Golfers elbow, AKA medial epicondylitis, is a painful inflammation of the tendons at the elbow caused by overuse of the forearm muscles, and restrictions in the neck and shoulder area.  It is similar to tennis elbow the only difference being the tendons affected.   However, both conditions are poorly named as only about 5% of cases are caused by playing sport.  Most people have actually developed their injury from carrying out repetitive one-sided movements in a job (eg carpenter) or leisure activity (eg gardening).

Some people may suffer from both tennis elbow and golfers elbow simultaneously.  Golfers elbow is also a common symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome or RSI conditions.

Myofascial release and advanced massage therapy for clients with golfers elbow (and tennis elbow) involves working mainly around the neck and shoulder area, as this is often where the cause of the problem is located.

Please see case studies and testimonials.

The Pain Care Clinic specialises in myofascial release and advanced massage therapy for private clients with medical diagnoses of chronic pain conditions and acute pain or injuries.
